| Bio: | Rules of Engagement Because of the initial year of my using this LiveJournal, I went "friends only". It was a move I didn't want to make, but became necessary because of the people and events around me at the time. Now, however, I feel that my life has moved significatly far enough away from any immaturity or vulgarity that I was once involved with to allow me to post publicly. That said, however, I will be operating under strict guidelines that I wish ye all to be aware of. 1. All comments will be screened - whether friend or anonymous user/guest, comments will be screened to avoid any untoward messages or content being posted. As a listed member of the Grey School of Wizardry and taking into account their Adult / Youth mix of students and the legalities surrounding such, I wish to keep this journal as clean and family-friendly as possible. 2. Any post I deem inappropriate for the public's eye (or the eyes of the Youth of Grey School) shall be posted as "Friends Only" - Those LJ users who are under 18, whether from Grey School or not, read these entries by their choice only, under no invite or support of me. 2.a. All "Friends Only" posts shall be placed under an "LJ Cut" to further advertise the fact that it may contain material of an inappropriate nature for people under the age of 18. 2.b. I waive any responsibility here-and-now of any resulting incident caused by the reading of and/or acting or relying upon the information presented within these posts, especially if the resulting incident is caused by or involves a reader under the age of 18. 3. Laneth and LiveJournal accepts no responsibility for any injuries caused, accidents or incidents involving a minor when in relation to any material posted herein - public or otherwise. 4. The public posts I present herein are for entertainment purposes only. I will not accept responsibility for any outcome relating to people relying solely on the information presented here in my journal. I am not a qualified counsellor or therapist in any field - I admit to having various knowledge relating to different alternative practices, however I have not undergone any formal training. Much of what I write about is speculation and personal opinion, and I do not need people coming to me to correct me or prove me wrong. I know that I am often wrong in my views, however I quite often find this out on my own accord. The Gods didn't put ye on this earth, in front of your PC, just to troll my journal and correct me on information or issues that I may have commented on. 5. Given the first sentence of 4. I wish also to stress that This is my Journal. I have opened it up for everyone to read. I'm not going to go all emo and cry every time I receive a comment I don't like, however - when I post entries about my life and my interests, I will not tolerate people doing the following: 5.a. Giving hurtful or damaging opinions relating to my personal life, my interests in ventures like the Grey School of Wizardry, the Mind Body Spirit festivals or my belief system in general, people I'm friends with or are involved with in some way etc. This is my life and unless I ask ye to comment on things, or ye have something positive or constructive to add, don't bother commenting. 5.b. Coming into my journal to correct me on information I've presented in short comments, without explaining yourself, your connection to the information & how ye know I'm wrong, and citing some source to show me. 5.b.i. Don't comment on my entries in a demeaning way - be mature and point out the flaws by being nice. Explain to me that ye noticed I'd said "_______", when really the case is "___,_--__" and here's how I know Link and this is who I am and why I think I'm qualified to corrent ye. 5.c. Don't run off to your own journal and bitch about me in "friends filtered" entries if we share mutual friends. If there's anything most people know about me, it's that people find it very easy to trust and talk to me. Most people on my Friends List are there because I know they'd tell me if someone was doing me wrong. It wouldn't take much for me to up my security again to Friends Only and block your username from my list of commenters and readers. | ||||
